On May 30, the price of SMM A00 aluminum dropped by CNY 60/Mt compared with the previous trading day.Aluminum supply is stable and maintained at a high level. Downstream demand is facing the test of seasonal weakening and trade frictions. The boom in the photovoltaic sector is slowly fading and there is an obvious demand gap. At present, the inventory of aluminum ingots is still destocking to support the price. The inventory of electrolytic aluminum also remains low. Although the destocking rate has slowed down, the destocking trend is still maintained. The continuous destocking of aluminum inventory is the core factor supporting aluminum prices in the short term. In the short term, it may still maintain a high level of volatility. It is predicted that the aluminum price will fluctuate in the range of CNY 20,100-CNY20,300.

Do you know the pretreatment process of colored aluminum coils?
The pretreatment is a key process in the production of color coated aluminum coils. Its main purpose is to remove the dust,the oil and the rust on the surface of the colored aluminum coils and form a conversion film to ensure the durability of the coating.
Alkaline washing
Method: In the cleaning tank, use an alkaline cleaning agent to clean the grease and dirt on the surface of the aluminum coil in all directions, and monitor the activity of the solution in real time through a conductivity meter to ensure the cleaning effect.
Note: The temperature of this process must be maintained at 55°C and the concentration and treatment time of the chemical reagents must be strictly controlled to avoid chemical corrosion to the aluminum substrate. The treated aluminum surface must meet the hydrophilic standard of a water drop angle of ≤5°
Water washing
Method: Using clean water to repeatedly spray the surface of the aluminum coil using a countercurrent rinsing design to ensure effective removal of the residual cleaning agent and other impurities from the previous process
Note: The operator need to check whether the cleaning agent is rinsed clean to avoid affecting the color coated aluminum coil coating process due to residues.
Passivation treatment
Method: After the surface of the aluminum coil is cleaned, place the aluminum coil in a passivation solution to react its surface with the oxidant in the solution to form an oxide film. It can isolate the aluminum coil from direct contact with the external environment, reduce the corrosion rate of the colored aluminum coil and extend its service life.
Note: Before passivation, we need make sure that the surface of the aluminum coil is no grease and dirt. The immersion time of the passivation liquid should be controlled. Too long time will cause the passivation liquid to corrode the surface of the aluminum coil, and too short time will make it difficult to form a uniform passivation film.
Washing and curing
Method: Using clean water for the last wash to ensure that there is no passivation liquid residue. Then cure the aluminum coil to make it fully cured
Note: The operator need pay attention to the degree of curing and adjust the temperature and curing time to avoid uneven curing or excessive curing.
