On May 26, the price of SMM A00 aluminum dropped CNY130 /Mt compared with the previous trading day.The SMM imported bauxite index was reported at US$73.33/Mt, up US$0.47/Mt from the previous trading day. The average CIF price of SMM Guinea bauxite was reported at US$74/Mt, the same as the previous trading day. The average CIF price of SMM Australian low-temperature bauxite was reported at US$70/Mt, the same as the previous trading day. The average CIF price of SMM Australian high-temperature bauxite was reported at US$65/Mt, the same as the previous trading day.The inventory of aluminum ingots was recorded at 534,000 tons, a decrease of 23,000 tons from last Thursday and 51,000 tons from last Monday. The social inventory of aluminum bars was recorded at 130,000 tons, a decrease of 6,000 tons from last Thursday and 2,000 tons from last Monday.
The continuous reduction of the inventory of aluminum ingots and aluminum bars has provided strong support for the aluminum price, supporting the aluminum price to fluctuate at a relatively high level.Affected by the interruption of the supply side of the bauxite market, the price of bauxite has risen, and the cost support of alumina is expected to increase.
