What is the difference between the H24 and H16 tempers of colored aluminum coils?
H24 and H16 are both commonly used tempers of color coated aluminum coils. The difference between the two can be analyzed from the mechanical properties and processing properties of the aluminum alloy tempers:
Mechanical properties: H24 temper is stronger than H16 temper and H16 has stronger ductility than H24. H24 temper colored aluminum coils are suitable for applications with high strength requirements and are not easy to break or deform. H16 temper colored aluminum coils are suitable for applications that do not require high strength but have high requirements for the flexibility and plasticity of the material.
Processing performance: The high strength of H24 temper makes its processability inferior to that of H16 temper and has higher requirements for processing equipment. Incomplete annealing treatment is required to reduce hardness and improve processing performance. The processing performance of H16 color coated aluminum coils is relatively good and it is easy to perform bending, stamping, shearing and other processing operations which is suitable for complex processing applications
